A way to contact the outside world since I can't update the website from the interweb, but still run challenge. I've been coming up with ideas while cut off from the world to still promote Slayers Challenge.
If we want a chance at the rest of the series as we've tentatively hoped, we're going to have to work at it. I'm giving

this account and she can make it all shiny however she wants and has more time than me to set the... stuff. To the stuff. And up to her to spread word of the community.
Okay. Current idea, which takes no money and minimal effort:
Check out how many libraries are within walking/bus/driving range of you, whichever is possible for all of you, or easier, check your phone listings, and call them. Ask if they have the Slayers series. Chances are, they won't. In all of Milwaukee county, there was not one slayers book, nor anything by Hajime Kanzaka - not in the whole system of dozens of libraries!
You can request books, I'm not sure if your area will let you do it by phone, but hey, give it a shot. Say you want the Slayers series, books 1-6, by Hajime Kanzaka, published by Tokyopop, with books 7-8 soon to be released only by internet order; specify that sometimes the books are hard to find, and if you don't know how your library gets their books, clarify that sometimes they need to be ordered from barnes and nobles etc instead of found on shelves or whatever, but they probably just order anyway. 7-8 is internet order only in a few months, from tokyopop.com, but you can request those later if they don't want to get into that.
What this does, is by calling every library you can reach, you're (hopefully) getting 6 books bought at each location. That's hopeful, though, so think that only half the libraries might do it. Do your best, and remember, TP is going to look at sales! For each time someone reads slayers in a library, they might think to buy it.
Go around, request them to be ordered, and if the books are put on hold for you when they come in, make sure you clarify that you just wanted the good series on the shelves because nobody had it!
It's a way to boost profits, so, go at.
And there's my thought for the day on limited time.

Matrons of Slayers Challenge:
Special Thanks to:

for their work in the project, and to all Slayers fans involved.
Gladly. I remembered you took notice of SC before.
I'm trying to get Slayers Challenge rolling on some level. Right now we don't have to be herniatingly active (is herniatingly a word?) since the novels are getting published, but I would like to keep a bit of a community together in case we need it again. Also, keeping up the fight with suggestions like in my most recent journal will encourage TP to buy the rest of the licenses, if everyone really gives 100%.

"Optium dies...prima fugit."
Happily; I remembered seeing you posting a few times about how Tokyopop was handling slayers and figured you might be interested. While novels 7 and 8 are being published, 9-15 aren't as of right now. I'm happy that they're finishing the arc, but I'm trying to promote sales so they might consider finishing the series. Keeping a community together will help that. If you can point people this way, if even just to read the journals for ideas on how to help, go'fer. I'm trying to make them low-cost or free ways to help Slayers.
ıf u have a problem u can ask me..

This is going to sort of be a billboard thing moderated by a few people... if you're interested you can check out the news. It's about a book series that was going to be canceled that we fought for, and won.
Partially. We get a plot arc finished but probably no more, unless we do our job as fans and get books sold!
